Ingredients/Components
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- self-rising corn meal* - 1 c
How to make corn cakes:
*If using all-purpose cornmeal, add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking soda.Mix milk and egg. Then add meal and soda. Mix. Fry on a real hot griddle. Use sorghum as a topping and lots of butter.
