Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- melted butter - 1 tsp
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- minced onion - 1 tsp
How to make okra fritters:
Cook frozen okra according to package directions; drain. Combine dry ingredients; stir in eggs, onion, butter and milk. Fold okra into batter. Drop by teaspoonfuls into oil at 375° for 2 minutes until browned. Yields 1 dozen.Recipe categories: Grains, Vegetables, Pasta, rice and grains.
