Swiss cheese fondue
Ingredients/Components
- natural Swiss cheese, grated 1 lb - 4 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- white wine - 2 c
- cloves garlic, cut in half - 2 item
- Kirsch liqueur - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- loaf French bread, cut into cubes - 1 item
How to make swiss cheese fondue:
Toss cheese and flour in bowl. Heat wine and garlic in electric fondue pot just until bubbles form. Remove and discard garlic. Add cheese to the wine, a handful at a time, stirring with wooden spoon until each addition is blended. Stir in Kirsch and nutmeg. Keep fondue warm on low setting during dipping.Have each person spear bread cube with fondue fork and dip into cheese. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
