Italian macaroni pie

- pkg - 1 oz
- 5 oz
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- jar spaghetti sauce - 1 1/2
- sliced celery - 1/4 c
How to make italian macaroni pie:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease 10-inch pie pan or 9-inch square pan. Prepare macaroni according to directions; drain. In large skillet, brown ground beef with celery; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and mushrooms. Simmer 15 minutes. In large bowl, combine macaroni, eggs, 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese and garlic salt; toss lightly. Place macaroni mixture in prepared pan. Press evenly in bottom and up sides of pan, forming a crust. Pour meat mixture over macaroni; cover with foil.Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove foil; let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Refrigerate leftovers. Makes 6 servings.
Variation: Spaghetti may be substituted for macaroni.
