Sweet potato casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- margarine
- medium sweet potatoes - 4 item
How to make sweet potato casserole:
Topping:1/2 c. margarine1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. flour1 c. chopped nuts Topping: Combine ingredients.Boil sweet potatoes in water until fork-tender. Cool slightly. Peel, then mash well. Add sugar, eggs, milk, margarine, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Pour sweet potato mixture into 3-quart greased casserole. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes, or until browned. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
