Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 3/4 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/4 c
- flour - 3 c
- brown sugar
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- hot water - 2 3
- margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- can apple pie filling - 1 item
- Beat flour, sugar, milk, margarine, baking powder, salt and eggs in large mixing bowl on low speed
How to make apple coffee cake:
Topping:1/4 c. brown sugar1/4 c. chopped nuts2 Tbsp. margarine, melted Mix pie filling and cinnamon; set aside. Beat flour, sugar, milk, margarine, baking powder, salt and eggs in large mixing bowl on low speed. Beat 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Pour half of batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spoon half of apples over batter. Repeat with the rest of the batter and apples. Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts over top; drizzle with 2 tablespoons melted margarine. Bake at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.Glaze Topping:3/4 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. margarine3/4 tsp. vanilla2 to 3 tsp. hot water Beat powdered sugar, margarine, vanilla and hot water until smooth.
