Kentucky bourbon sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- 2 oz - 3 cans
- bourbon optional - 1/3 c
- frosted flakes
- chopped pecans or almonds - 1/2 c
- sugar 1/2 brown, 1/2 white - 1 c
- Topping:3/4 cube butter or margarine
How to make kentucky bourbon sweet potatoes:
Topping:3/4 cube butter or margarine1 1/2 c. frosted flakes1/2 c. chopped pecans or almonds Mix topping ingredients well.Turn sweet potatoes into large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until heated through. Preheat oven to 350°. Mash sweet potatoes; add sugar, bourbon, butter and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Turn into 2-quart shallow baking dish. Top with topping. Bake 30 minutes. Makes 9 servings.
