Swedish meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- water - 2 c
- dairy sour cream - 3/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- salad oil - 1/4 c
- paprika - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- minced onion - 1/2 c
- ground pork - 1/2 lb
How to make swedish meatballs:
Mix thoroughly the first 10 ingredients and refrigerate 2 hours. Shape into balls and slowly brown in large skillet with oil. Remove meatballs and keep warm. Blend flour with paprika and 1/2 teaspoon salt into oil in skillet. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in water. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until smooth. Add meatballs and heat thoroughly.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Ground beef, Beef.
