Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • poppy seed - 1/2 Tbsp
  • red wine vinegar
  • minced onion
  • fresh spinach - 1 lb
  • strawberries, halved - 1 pt
  • dry or prepared mustard - 1 tsp
  • pecans, browned - 1/2 c

How to make strawberry spinach salad:

Dressing:1/3 c. red wine vinegar1 tsp. salt1/2 c. oil1 tsp. dry or prepared mustard1/2 c. sugar1 1/2 tsp. minced onion1/2 Tbsp. poppy seed Wash spinach and toss with strawberries. Brown pecans in butter in 350° oven for 10 minutes. Set aside.

In another bowl, combine dressing ingredients and stir. Add dressing and pecans to spinach just before serving.

Pecans can be warmed in microwave before tossing in salad.
