  • sour cream - 1 c
  • grated carrot - 1 item
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • stick margarine, melted - 1 item
  • squash, cooked and drained well - 2 lb
  • onion, chopped and microwaved until tender - 1 item
  • Stove Top dressing chicken or turkey - 1 pkg

How to make squash casserole:

To cooked squash, add carrot, onion, soup and sour cream. Mix seasoning packet and bread cubes in dressing together. Pour melted margarine over dressing and mix well. Add 1/2 of dressing to squash mixture and spoon into buttered casserole. Sprinkle remaining dressing over top of casserole. Bake, covered, in a 7 x 11-inch casserole at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.

To cook squash, slice squash lengthwise in 2 or 3 sections, depending on squash size. Cover with water and cook on medium temperature until tender (may have to remove some before others). Drain and cut into chunks and drain again.
