  • carton sour cream - 1 oz
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • can mushroom soup - 1 item
  • small jar diced pimientos - 1 item
  • Stove Top dressing - 1 item
  • long yellow neck squash, sliced - 3 item

How to make squash casserole:

Prepare dressing as directed on package, using only 1 cup of water; set aside. Put squash and onion in skillet with just enough water to steam nearly done. Salt and pepper. Drain. Mix sour cream, soup and pimientos.

Put layer of dressing in bottom of pan. Alternate layers of squash with sour cream mixture. Top with layer of dressing. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes or until dressing is brown on top.
