Baked zucchini
Ingredients/Components
- catsup - 1 item
- basil - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- medium onions - 3 item
- bacon - 1/3 lb
- slender zucchini - 2 lb
How to make baked zucchini:
Wash zucchini; do not peel. Slice fairly thin. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces. Thinly slice onions and separate into rings. Cook bacon in skillet. Add onions. When bacon begins to sizzle, cook 5 minutes, stirring often. Into a greased casserole, put a layer of zucchini. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and basil. Dot with catsup; cover with onions and bacon. Repeat. Have a layer of onions and bacon on top. Dot with catsup. Cover casserole and bake 45 minutes at 350°. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Vegetables.
