Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine, softened - 2 Tbsp
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1/4 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- pimento, chopped - 1/4 c
- mashed squash - 2 c
- sliced squash until makes 2 c
How to make squash casserole:
Combine squash with salted water and cook until tender. Remove from heat, drain well. Mash with potato masher. Combine remaining ingredients with squash mixture and pour in a greased casserole dish. Top with crumbs made with leftover cornbread. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning and onion powder. Bake for 30 minutes at 350° until bubbly.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
