Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can cream of celery soup - 1 item
  • stick melted butter - 1 item
  • onions - 2 item
  • corn bread mix - 1 pkg
  • summer squash - 2 lb

How to make squash casserole:

Cut up and boil until tender: squash and onions. Drain and mix with sour cream, celery soup, salt and pepper. Mix package of corn bread mix with melted butter. Layer in 2-quart casserole dish: 1/3 cornbread mixture, 1/2 squash mixture, 1/3 cornbread mixture, 1/2 squash mixture and 1/3 corn bread mixture. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
