- flour - 1/2 c
- oil - 2/3 c
- hot water - 2 c
- tomato sauce - 2 (8
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- rice - 2 c
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- peeled fresh shrimp - 5 lb
- bunch green onion and tops, chopped - 1 item
- whole tomatoes, diced - 1 qt
- small can white crab meat optional - 1 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Blend flour into oil, stirring constantly over medium heat and brown. Add water gradually and cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients, except rice. Add shrimp last. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Serve over rice with crackers. Very, very good.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
