  • milk, scalded - 1 c
  • cube butter or margarine - 1 item
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • warm water - 1/4 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • flour - 4 4

How to make refrigerator rolls:

Scald milk; add 1 cube of butter or margarine. In another bowl, mix yeast, water and 1 teaspoon sugar to proof. Beat the eggs and add to milk mixture when it is lukewarm along with yeast mixture, salt and 1/4 cup sugar. Stir well and add flour until it is mixed well. Should be thick, moist dough. Cover tightly and put in refrigerator overnight.

Divide dough into 3 parts, roll out to 1/8-inch thickness in round and cut into pie-shaped pieces. Roll up from wide end into crescents. Place on cookie sheets and bake after they have raised double, 425° for 5 minutes.
