Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla caramels - 12 item
- can ready-to-spread chocolate fudge frosting - 1 item
- pecan halves about 5 to 6 oz
How to make snappy turtles:
In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of frosting, crumbs, corn syrup and vanilla at low speed. Beat 2 minutes at lowest speed. Set aside.On wax paper, arrange 36 clusters of 3 pecan halves in spoke fashion. Spoon rounded teaspoonful of frosting mixture on each cluster. Cut caramels into thirds. Press 1 caramel piece firmly on top of each cluster, forcing frosting mixture between nuts.
In small saucepan, heat remaining frosting just until melted. Spoon small amount of frosting on each cluster. Chill to set. Makes about 36 pieces.
