Potato casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 lb
- sour cream - 1 pt
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- crushed cornflakes - 2 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- soup can milk - 1/2 item
- stick melted margarine - 1 item
How to make potato casserole:
Melt margarine (save 3 tablespoons for cornflakes) and saute onion until tender. Mix potatoes, sauteed onion and butter. Pour into a large casserole dish. Combine soup, milk and sour cream. Pour over potatoes. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Melt reserved 3 tablespoons of butter. Add crushed cornflakes and stir until well coated. Spread over top of casserole.
