Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt
  • melted butter - 1/4 c
  • corn flakes - 2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 c
  • frozen hash brown potatoes - 24 oz

How to make potato casserole:

Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Spread hash browns in bottom of baking dish. Saute onion in 1/4 cup butter until tender. Add the chicken soup, sour cream, salt and pepper to onion mixture. Spread this mixture over the hash browns. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Sprinkle corn flakes over the cheese and dribble 1/2 cup melted butter over the corn flakes. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
