Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/4 c
  • dark brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • Velveeta cheese - 3/4 lb
  • ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • Ritz crackers
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • head broccoli - 1 item
  • yellow mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • Minute rice, cooked - 1 c
  • large, chopped onions - 2 item
  • navy beans or small white beans - 1 lb
  • sliced, lean salt pork or ham bone - 5 oz

How to make broccoli casserole:

Rinse beans in colander and pick over. Put beans in a large Dutch oven and cover with water. Let soak at least 1 hour, adding water if needed to keep covered. Simmer beans 1 hour, removing foam on top. Keep adding boiling water as needed to just cover
