Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 3 oz
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- softened butter - 1 Tbsp
- Filling:1 egg
- coarsely broken pecans - 1/3 c
How to make pecan tassies:
Filling:1 egg3/4 c. brown sugar1 Tbsp. softened butter1 tsp. vanilla dash of salt1/3 c. coarsely broken pecans Blend together softened cream cheese and butter. Stir in flour. Chill 1 hour. Shape into 2 dozen 1-inch balls. Place in ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin pans. Press dough against bottom and sides.For filling, beat together egg, brown sugar, softened butter, vanilla and dash of salt, just until smooth. Fill shells in muffin cups. Sprinkle pecans on top. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes or until filling is set. Cool. Remove from pans.
