  • sugar - 1 c
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • evaporated milk - 2/3 c
  • unbaked pie shell 9-inch - 1 item
  • chocolate bits - 1 c

How to make chocolate pecan pie:

Combine chocolate bits, evaporated milk and butter in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture is smooth and creamy. Combine other ingredients and gradually stir into chocolate mixture. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake in moderate oven (375°) for 40 minutes or until firm. Cool pie completely before covering.
