  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • small onion, chopped fine - 1 item
  • rubbed sage - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • catsup
  • tomato juice or tomatoes - 3 c
  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • wine - 3 Tbsp
  • garlic salt - 1 clove

How to make meatballs:

Sauce:1 1/2 c. catsup3 c. tomato juice or tomatoes1 Tbsp. sugar3 Tbsp. wine1 clove garlic, chopped fine or 1/2 tsp. garlic salt Meatballs: Mix together and make into balls; brown slowly in skillet. Add meatballs to sauce. Cook sauce slowly, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours.
