  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chili powder - 2 Tbsp
  • catsup - 2 Tbsp
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • tomato sauce - 8 oz
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • Add ground beef

How to make hamburger casserole:

Saute onion and pepper in butter until tender. Add ground beef. Cook. Stir in tomato sauce, catsup, chili powder, salt and pepper. Turn mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish. Spread mixture of corn meal, milk and egg over top of casserole and bake for 25 or 30 minutes in 425° oven.Top:1 c. corn meal1 c. milk1 egg
