Ingredients/Components
- plain flour
- sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- can crushed pineapple - 8 oz
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- salad oil - 1 c
- cream cheese, softened
- margarine - 1/2 c
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
How to make hummingbird cake:
Icing:3 oz. cream cheese, softened1/2 c. margarine1 tsp. vanilla1 box confectioners sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts Combine dry ingredients. Add eggs, oil and vanilla. Stir until moist. Fold in pineapple and nuts. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or more. Mix ingredients for icing until well blended. After cake has cooled, spread icing on cake.
