granulated sugar - 1/2 c
packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
softened butter - 1/3 c
oil - 1/3 c
egg - 1 item
vanilla - 1 tsp
self-rising flour

How to make sugar cookies:

Heat oven to 375°. Mix sugars, margarine, oil, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet about 2-inches apart. Bake until light brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.

Hint: Make delicious chocolate chip cookies by adding 1 package (6 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate chips. Also makes a great peanut butter cookie by adding 1/2 cup peanut butter. May also add 1/2 cup chopped nuts to any of the cookies.
