Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- nuts - 1 c
- cream - 1/4 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- shortening or butter - 1/2 c
- Angel Flake coconut - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Topping:6 Tbsp. butter1/2 c. brown sugar1/4 c. cream1 tsp. vanilla1 c. nuts1 c. Angel Flake coconut Pour boiling water on oats and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream butter and sugars together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating each one. Add oats, then dry ingredients. Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes.Topping: Combine ingredients together, mixing well. Spread onto top of cake; place in oven. Broil for a few minutes until bubbles.
