Hot clam dip
Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 1/4 lb
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- parsley - 1 tsp
- medium chopped onion - 1 item
- dash of Tabasco sauce - 1 item
- seasoned bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- clove chopped garlic - 1 item
- green or red pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- cans minced clams and juice - 2 1/2
How to make hot clam dip:
Simmer clams and lemon juice for 15 minutes. Add 1/4 pound margarine; stir. Then mix in remainder of ingredients. Put mixture into small casserole dish and top with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese and paprika. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes. Serve with crackers or corn chips.Note: This recipe can be used to stuff clams as well.
