Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- egg whites - 2 item
- whipped cream - 1/2 c
- ground nutmeg - 1 item
- rum flavoring - 1/2 tsp
How to make egg nog:
Beat 1/3 cup sugar into egg yolks. Add salt. Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture coats spoon. Cool. Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add 3 tablespoons sugar, beating until it forms soft peaks. Add to custard and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla and rum flavoring. Chill 3 to 4 hours. Pour into punch bowl or cups.
