- pkg - 1 oz
- slivered almonds, toasted - 1/4 item
- vanilla pudding, prepared - 1 pkg
- yellow cake mix, cooked - 1 pkg
- whipped topping 13 1/2 oz - 1 pkg
How to make english trifle:
Bake cake in oblong pan according to directions on box. This only uses half the cake (you can find someone baking on the same day and share). Break 1/4 of the cake into large pieces and place in a 2-quart serving bowl. Pour half the thawed strawberries over the cake. Spread with half of prepared pudding. Repeat layers. Chill at least 8 hours. Right before serving, spread whipped topping on top and sprinkle with almonds. Spoon into dessert dishes to serve.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Fruit.
