Cream of mushroom soup
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- light cream - 3/4 c
- chicken broth - 3 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- fresh mushrooms, chopped - 1/2 lb
How to make cream of mushroom soup:
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add onion and cook over moderate heat until onion is soft. Add mushrooms; cover pan and cook several minutes. Remove mixture from heat and blend flour. Add stock slowly; bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in cream. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Mushroom, Bisques/cream soups.
