Cabbage beef soup
Ingredients/Components
- ground round or beef steak - 1 lb
- carrots, sliced - 5 item
- celery stalks, sliced - 5 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- medium head cabbage - 1 item
- tomatoes with juice - 1 qt
- V-8 juice - 1 pt
- cans Armour chili with beans - 2 item
- cans red kidney beans - 2 item
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- parsley - 1 tsp
How to make cabbage beef soup:
Brown meat and drain off fat. Heat the tomatoes and juice. Add all the fresh vegetables. Cook for about 15 minutes. Add everything else and cook slowly, about 30 minutes or until desired doneness. (Shred cabbage into thin slivers.)Recipe categories: Potato, Soups & stews, Beef.
