Broccoli soup
Ingredients/Components
- grated onion - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- half and half - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- dried whole basil - 1/4 1/2
- melted margarine - 1/4 c
- milk - 1 c
- chicken broth - 2 c
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- chopped fresh broccoli - 2 c
How to make broccoli soup:
Saute onion in butter in a Dutch oven. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk, half and half and chicken broth. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt, garlic powder and basil.
