Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- grated cheese
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- sliced carrots - 1 c
- yolks of 2 eggs
How to make cream of cheese soup:
Boil carrots and onion in milk until carrots and onion are soft, being very careful not to burn. Remove carrots and onion from milk. Place milk in top of double boiler; thicken with butter and flour, which have been combined to a smooth paste. Stir constantly until thickened. Add cheese; stir 3 minutes. Remove from fire.
