Chunky chicken vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- basil leaves - 1/2 tsp
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- celery stalk, diced - 1 item
- brown rice - 1 potato
- bouillon - 1 bouillon
- peas optional - 1/4 c
- chicken broiler-fryer - 1 item
- carrots, sliced and diced - 2 item
- zucchini, sliced and wedges - 1/2 item
- turnip optional - 1 item
How to make chunky chicken vegetable soup:
Boil chicken in about 4 cups water; remove skin. Debone the chicken. Cook potato or rice and bouillon in chicken stock.Meanwhile, cook vegetables in butter until lightly browned, while cutting and adding chicken meat. Salt with garlic salt lightly. Combine all ingredients in stock. Add salt, basil and pepper to taste. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Makes about 6 soup servings.
