Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • buttermilk - 2/3 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • butter or oleo - 1/2 c
  • vanilla pudding mix - 1 pkg
  • cooled strong coffee - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate mocha cake:

Frosting:1 c. milk1/2 c. shortening1 tsp. vanilla1 pkg. vanilla pudding mix1/2 c. butter or oleo1 c. sugar Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs until creamy. Add dry ingredients with liquids. Beat until mixed well. Bake in loaf pan or two layer pans at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until tests done. Also, will make cupcakes.

Meanwhile, cook vanilla pudding with 1 cup milk (no matter what package says) until thickened. Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate until cold. Beat together shortening, butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add cooled pudding mixture and whip until consistency of whipped cream. Spread on cool cake.
