Ingredients/Components
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- cocoa heaping - 4 Tbsp
- flour - 2 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- Frosting:1 stick margarine
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- nuts optional - 1 item
How to make texas sheet cake:
Frosting:1 stick margarine6 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla4 Tbsp. cocoa1 lb. powdered sugar nuts (optional) Boil the margarine, water and cocoa together to blend. Remove from heat and add to flour, sugar and salt. Mix. Add sour cream, eggs and baking powder. Beat well. Pour into a 12 x 18-inch sheet cake pan, greased. Bake at 375° for 22 minutes.Frosting: Boil margarine, cocoa and milk to blend. Add to mixing bowl containing powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat well. Spread on hot cake. Sprinkle with nuts.
