Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- hot cooked rice - 4 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- green onions, chopped - 2 item
- chicken, cut up - 1 item
- frozen broccoli, thawed - 1 pkg
- ripe tomatoes, cut in eighths - 2 item
How to make chinese chicken and vegetables:
Spread chicken pieces on wax paper. Brush with lemon juice. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Heat oil in large skillet. Add chicken; brown quickly on all sides. Drain oil. Add sugar, green pepper, onions, broccoli and chicken broth. Bring to boil; lower heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Blend cornstarch and soy sauce; gradually stir in and mix well.
