Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- buttermilk - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- chicken breasts - 4 item
- cans broth - 2 item
How to make chicken pot pie:
Boil chicken; save 2 cans broth. Debone chicken. Mix together 2 cans of broth with soup. Pour into bottom of casserole dish. Add chicken, pulled apart into bite size bits. Mix together the flour, salt, pepper, buttermilk and margarine; pour over top of chicken in casserole. (This will form its own crust and top.) Bake at 425° for 30 minutes.Optional: May add potatoes, peas and carrots, if your family prefers them with the chicken.
