Ingredients/Components
- frozen chopped broccoli, cooked and drained - 1 pkg
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- large egg, beaten - 1 item
- American cheese, cubed - 4 oz
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- buttered crumbs - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 item
How to make broccoli casserole:
Saute butter and onion; stir in flour and salt. Add water and cook until thick. Add cheese; stir until blended. Combine with broccoli; blend in beaten egg and pour in greased baking dish. Top with crumbs. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.Crumbs: Use 1 tablespoon butter for each 1/2 cup crumbs.
