Country sausage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- small onion - 1/2 item
- buttered bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- canned whole tomatoes, chopped - 2 c
- mild bulk sausage - 1 lb
- drained, canned whole kernel corn - 2 c
How to make country sausage casserole:
Cook sausage until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings in skillet. Saute onion and flour in reserved drippings until browned. Add sausage, tomatoes, corn and sugar; mix well. Pour sausage mixture into 2-quart casserole; sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
