  • milk - 1 c
  • self-rising flour - 1 c
  • oleo - 1/4 c
  • can cream of celery soup - 1 item
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chicken, cut up - 1 (3
  • broth - 2 c
  • can peas, drained - 1 item
  • can carrots, drained - 1 item
  • boiled eggs, chopped - 2 item

How to make chicken pie:

Boil chicken in water until done. Remove chicken from bones and cut into bite size pieces. Save the broth. In a pot, mix 2 cups of broth, celery soup, carrots and peas. Place on stove and bring to a boil. In a casserole dish, place chicken on bottom. Add soup mixture and stir. Sprinkle eggs over soup mixture.

Combine flour and milk. Add pepper. Spoon the mixture over the top of the casserole. This is the crust. Dot with oleo. Cook for 30 minutes at 425°.
