Ingredients/Components

  • chicken breasts boneless and skinless - 4 item
  • chicken-flavored Rice-A-Roni - 1 pkg
  • can broccoli cheese soup - 1 item
  • can water chestnuts, drained - 1 item
  • can Durkee French fried onions - 1 item
  • lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
  • can peas - 1 item

How to make chicken and rice casserole:

Place chicken in frypan. Fill pan with water 1/4 inch deep. Add lemon juice. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes each side. Remove chicken and cut into cubes.

Cook Rice-A-Roni according to package. Place prepared rice in baking dish. Add broccoli cheese soup, chestnuts, chicken, peas and 1/2 can of onions. Add 3/4 can water. Mix.

Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Top with remaining onions. Bake 3 minutes longer.
