Chicken and brown rice pilaf
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- sliced fresh mushrooms - 1 c
- frozen peas - 1 c
- chicken breasts - 4 item
- brown rice uncooked - 2 c
- small onion, chopped or sliced - 1 item
How to make chicken and brown rice pilaf:
Heat oil in skillet. Add chicken breasts and cook until brown. Remove chicken and add chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil. Stir in mushrooms, onion, peas and rice. Top with chicken; cover. Cook on low heat 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Let stand 5 minutes. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Chicken breast.
