Ingredients/Components

  • Wesson oil
  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • grated carrots - 3 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • self-rising flour
  • Icing:2 boxes powdered sugar
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • chopped nuts - 2 c

How to make carrot cake:

Icing:2 boxes powdered sugar2 sticks margarine2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese2 tsp. vanilla2 c. chopped nuts Blend oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in carrots. Mix soda, cinnamon and flour. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Mix for 5 minutes. Pour into 3 greased cake pans. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

Icing: Blend all ingredients well. Spread on cake layers when cold.
