Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
  • baking powder
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • pecans - 5 c
  • lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
  • box raisins - 1 item
  • eggs 6 if small - 5 item
  • pineapple mixed colors - 1 lb
  • cherries mixed colors - 1 lb

How to make fruit cake:

Roll fruit and nuts in one cup flour. Use other cup in batter.

Batter: Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour with baking powder to mixture, then add flavors, fruit and nuts. Bake in tube pan for 2 hours at 325°. Place pan of water on the rack under cake. Cool 30 minutes before taking out of pan. Grease pan good. Also line pan with brown paper.
