Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cake flour
- oil
- salt - 1 tsp
- slightly beaten eggs - 2 item
- red food coloring - 1/2 oz
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- Then add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with buttermilk
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- pkg - 1 oz
How to make red velvet cake:
Mix sugar, oil and eggs. Then add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with buttermilk. Add flavoring. Add vinegar and soda. Mix until well blended. Bake in 3 greased layer pans and lightly floured. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.Icing:1 stick softened butter1 box powdered sugar1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla Blend together until creamy. Frost layers.
