Ingredients/Components
- frozen puff pastry - 1 pkg
- can apple pie filling - 1 item
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- raisins - 1/2 c
- walnuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- milk - 2 3
How to make apple strudel:
Unthaw the pastry as directed on box. You can cut each sheet into 4's or you can leave whole. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Spread over dough not getting on the edges if making squares. Mix pie filling, raisins and nuts together and put a small amount on each square. Take water and dampen edges of dough; bring up opposite corners and press together real well. If making roll, spread on dough and roll up. Place on a lightly sprayed baking sheet and bake for 35 minutes at 375°.Icing: Mix sugar and milk. You want a heavy stream of icing. When strudels are done, take spoon and drizzle over pastry.
