Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- cold water - 3 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
How to make jelly roll:
Beat eggs and sugar until quite thick; add water and vanilla. Add the flour, salt and baking powder which has been sifted together twice. Pour batter into a shallow baking pan which has been greased and floured. Bake in a quick 400° or higher oven, about 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Turn out on a cloth sprinkled with sugar. Roll up and unroll it, then spread with jelly or jam and roll up quickly.Recipe categories: Desserts, Low fat.
