Ingredients/Components
- Mazola oil
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- grated carrots or use 2 jars junior baby food carrots - 2 c
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- walnuts, chopped - 1 c
- cream cheese
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- scant amount of milk - 1 item
How to make carrot cake:
Frosting:1 (3 oz.) cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla1 c. powdered sugar scant amount of milk Mix all dry ingredients together. Add to liquid ingredients. Pour into a greased and lightly floured angel food pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or more if needed. Cool cake inverted over wire rack. When cooled, frost with icing by covering top and letting it drizzle down the sides. Stores well. Stays moist.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Carrots.
